Winona, Minnesota-based Fastenal announced it has appointed Anthony P. Broersma as its Executive Vice President of Operations, effective Oct. 11.
In his new role, he will oversee supply chain, compliance, supplier development, content, property management, eCommerce, supply to fulfillment distribution, and logistics operations of the company, Fastenal said in a news release.
Broersma previously served as Fastenal’s Senior Vice President of Operations from June 2022 to October 2023. From February 2021 to June 2022, Broersma was Vice President of Procurement and Supply Chain. From February 2016 to February 2021, Broersma served as Vice President of International Operations, leading all global operations.
Prior to that, between December 2012 and February 2016, Broersma was the Regional Vice President for our continental Europe locations. From February 2011 to December 2012, he served as the Director of Asian Operations, while living in Shanghai, China. From December 2007 to February 2011, Broersma served as the Regional Operations Manager of our distribution center located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He joined the company in 2003 and, prior to 2007, served in various roles of increasing responsibility within its branch locations, Fastenal said.

Fastenal also recently reported its 2023 third-quarter earnings, which showed continued deceleration in net sales and profit compared with the same three-month period in 2022
