On Aug. 21, St. Louis-based waterworks and industrial supplies distributor Core & Main announced the opening of its new facility located in the city of Fontana in Southern California.
The company said the new location allows it to further expand its geosynthetics product category and better serve geosynthetics customers in the West.
“This step in Core & Main’s growth strategy builds on the commitment to make its products and expertise more accessible nationwide,” the company said in a news release.
News of the new facility follows announcements of two relatively recent acquisitions.
In May, the company entered into a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Foster Supply Inc. and R.P. Foster Inc. — collectively Foster Supply — a full-service provider of precast concrete structures, pipe, drainage materials and related geosynthetics products. In June, Core & Main entered into a definitive agreement to acquire J.W. D’Angelo Co. Inc., a full-service provider of fire protection and waterworks products with three locations in Southern California.
