Metalworking and industrial supplies distributor BlackHawk Industrial, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, has acquired Machine Tools Supply.
MTS, previously a subsidiary of DNOW, has a long-standing reputation as a highly technical, value-added distributor in the cutting tool space with physical locations in California, Texas, Ohio, the UK and the Philippines.
The acquisition of MTS significantly extends BlackHawk’s service capabilities into large manufacturing markets with 248 associates across 7 facilities and multiple customer sites. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
John Mark, CEO of BlackHawk Industrial, said: “We continue to pursue growth strategic markets, increasing our capabilities to serve our customers’ mission critical production needs. The addition of the MTS team bolsters our ‘Big Enough to Serve – Small Enough to Care’ service model and reinforces our unique position in the market.”
“This is a big day for all associates of MTS, and we are truly excited to join the BlackHawk family. Our cultures and customer service models align perfectly. We recognize the unlimited potential of this business and are excited about the future.” commented Scott Beardshear, Director, Sales at MTS.
