B&D Industrial Inc. says it has named John Finnegan as its new vice president to drive emergent software and internet of things (IIoT) enterprise.
B&D said its IIoT enterprise consists of a software as a service offering that collects data from various devices in a manufacturing or municipal facility and is available for display and usage in multiple manners, including condition monitoring, machine learning and critical compliance needs. The enterprise operates from a secure cloud-based platform.
Finnegan comes to B&D after more than 20 years at Rittal North America, where he worked in sales and marketing, and gained overall leadership experience, B&D said. Most recently, he was a member of the executive team as vice president of Industrial Sales. He will be based in B&D’s Norcross, Georgia, facility.
“We are exceptionally proud to have a leader of John’s caliber to lead our IIoT efforts. IIoT is a pillar of our strategic plan, and participation is key to our ability to provide customer value in the same way that B&D has for the last 75 years,” said Brian Davis, Co-CEO of B&D Industrial. “John has a long career serving industrial customers. He has been involved in product launches, led teams well, and built profitable businesses. He is just the kind of leader that we need to help us build out these new offerings, and we are happy to have him on our team.”
