Pennsylvania-based 84 Lumber Company this week opened its first Idaho store, near the state capital of Boise.
The building materials, manufactured components and services supplier for family residences and commercial buildings said the store opening is part of a company effort to “meet a growing need for lumber and building materials across the Pacific Northwest.”
The store is located at 1220 W Franklin Road in nearby Meridian. The retail location will offer “high quality building materials including roofing, trim, treated lumber, windows, doors and more,” the company said.
The public location employs 15 associates, with plans to expand in 2022. The facility spans 33,000 square feet, including 8,000 square feet of showroom and office space where customers can browse and consult with staff members.
“This is 84 Lumber’s first location in the state of Idaho, and we’re excited to be a part of the growth and development around Boise,” said Chris Olmstead, general manager of 84 Lumber Boise. “We’ve already been connecting with area builders, and we look forward to expanding our relationships and becoming a part of the growing community.”
