Kimball Midwest, a national industrial supplier based in Columbus, Ohio, announced on Thursday that it had recently received an award for its learning and development programs.
Kimball Midwest was one of 59 organizations honored as part of Chief Learning Officer’s 11th LearningElite Awards program. It was the first time that Kimball Midwest was named to the list. Other organizations that were also honored included Cardinal Health, PepsiCo and Columbia Sportswear.
The program was founded in 2011 with assistance from a group of CLOs and senior learning and development practitioners. Every year, the LearningElite judges review and rate applications based on five areas critical to learning organizations: learning strategy, leadership commitment, learning execution, learning impact and business performance results.
“Kimball Midwest provides world-class training opportunities for both our internal staff and sales team,” Kimball Midwest Director of Sales Development Kate Callison said. “In the past several years, we have worked hard to make continuous improvements to each of our training offerings to ensure they support our aggressive company growth and career development for our associates.”
