Beacon (NASDAQ: BECN), Herndon, Virginia, announced on Tuesday that it has named Sean M. McDevitt as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
McDevitt is slated to start his new job at Beacon on May 3, and will work with current CHRO Christopher Harrison. Harrison will step down from Beacon later this quarter after supporting McDevitt through the transition.
Prior to joining Beacon, McDevitt served as Executive Vice President and CHRO at Apple Leisure Group, which is a $4.5 billion global integrated travel company, since 2019. In that role, he was responsible for all HR functions, as well as Corporate Communications and Corporate and Social Responsibility.
Also in his career, McDevitt had a 22-year stint with PepsiCo (NASDAQ: PEP) and Pepsi Bottling Group in various regions of the U.S., as well as Spain, Turkey and Portugal. He finished up his career at Pepsi as Senior Vice President, Field Human Resources for North America Beverages.

Late last year, Beacon announced it had agreed to sell its interior products business to the affiliates of private equity firm American Securities LLC for $850 million.
