Berwyn, Pennsylvania-based manufacturer AMETEK (NYSE: AME) has appointed two new vice presidents/general managers, while a veteran senior VP announced his retirement.
Dr. Christoph Maetzig is the new vice president and general manager of AMETEK’s Ultra Precision Technologies division, the company said. In his role, Maetzig replaces Bruce Wilson, who announced his intention to retire after 22 years with the company.
“We are pleased Chris will be taking on this important leadership role with the company,” said David A. Zapico, AMETEK chairman and CEO. “Chris’ deep industry knowledge, focus on innovation, and proven leadership experience will serve him well in this new role.”
Zapico added, “I want to thank Bruce for his dedication to AMETEK and his strong leadership over the last two decades. He has been critical to the success of our company and the growth of our Ultra Precision Technologies division. We wish Bruce and his family all the best on his retirement.”
AMETEK also said Daniel J. Skinner is its new vice president and general manager of its Process & Analytical Instruments division.
Skinner currently works as divisional VP and business unit manager for AMETEK’s Energy & Process Instrumentation business. He will replace Jim Davis, who will assume leadership of AMETEK’s Measurement, Communications & Testing division.
“I am pleased to announce Dan’s promotion to Vice President and General Manager,” Zapico said. “Dan has done a tremendous job managing AMETEK businesses during his nearly 30-year career with the company. Dan’s strong operational and commercial experience make him well suited to take on this new challenge.”
