January U.S. manufacturing technology orders totaled $278.8 million according to AMT – The Association for Manufacturing Technology. This total, as reported by companies participating in the USMTO program, was down 30.4 percent from December and down 21.2 percent from January 2015.
“January numbers are typically lower than December as companies that have financial years synced with the calendar year place delayed orders based on where they are relative to budget goals,” said AMT President Douglas Woods. “This cycle will be less dramatic in 2017."
