The U.S. Census Bureau says the international trade deficit was $97.8 billion in November, up $14.6 billion from $83.2 billion in October.
Exports of goods for the month were $154.7 billion, $3.3 billion less than October exports. November imports of goods were $252.4 billion, $11.3 billion more than October.
Wholesale inventories for November — adjusted for seasonal variations and trading day differences but not for price changes — were estimated at an end-of-month level of $769.9 billion, up 1.2% from October 2021, and were up 15.7% from November 2020. The September 2021 to October 2021 percentage change was revised from up 2.3% to up 2.5%.
Retail inventories for were estimated at an end-of-month level of $616.9 billion, up 2% from October 2021, and were up 0.6% from November 2020. The September 2021 to October 2021 percentage change was revised from up 0.1% to up 0.3%.
