November U.S. manufacturing technology orders totaled $378 million according to AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology. This total, as reported by companies participating in the USMTO program, was down 15.5 percent from October and down 14.5 percent when compared with the total of $442 million reported for November 2013.
With a year-to-date total of $4,556.6 million, 2014 is up 2.6 percent compared with 2013.
Southeast Region
November manufacturing technology orders in the Southeast Region totaled $48.6 million, up 37.7 percent when compared with October’s $35.3 million. At $439.8 million, 2014 year-to-date orders were 8.1 percent more than the comparable figure for 2013.
North Central-East Region
North Central-East Region manufacturing technology orders in November stood at $94 million, down 20.7 percent from October’s $118.6 million and down 24.6 percent when compared with the $124.7 million total for November 2013. The 2014 year-to-date total of $1,197.8 million was 4.3 percent higher than the 2013 total at the same time.
North Central-West Region
At $68.2 million, North Central-West Region manufacturing technology orders in November were off 27.1 percent from October’s $93.6 million. The 2014 year-to-date total of $802.8 million was 2.5 percent less than the comparable figure for 2013.
South Central
At $63.2 million, November manufacturing technology orders in the South Central Region were off 3.4 percent when compared with last November’s $65.4 million. At $714.1 million, 2014 year-to-date orders were running 5.9 percent ahead of 2013 at the same time.
