The international trade deficit was $98.2 billion in June, down $5.9 billion from $104 billion in May, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Exports of goods for June were $181.5 billion, $4.4 billion more than May exports. Imports of goods for June were $279.7 billion, $1.5 billion less than May imports.
Wholesale inventories for June, adjusted for seasonal variations and trading day differences, but not for price changes, were estimated at an end-of-month level of $896.0 billion, up 1.9% from May 2022, and were up 25.6% from June 2021. The April 2022 to May 2022 percentage change was revised from up 1.8% to up 1.9%.
Retail inventories for June, adjusted for seasonal variations and trading day differences but not for price changes, were estimated at an end-of-month level of $723 billion, up 2% from May 2022, and were up 19.9% from June 2021. The April 2022 to May 2022 percentage change was revised from up 1.1% to up 1.6%.
