Kitchen appliances, HVAC, plumbing and pool & spa parts and equipment distributor Marcone Group appointed Asterios Satrazemis as President and CEO, effective Sept. 30.
Satrazemis succeeds Avichal Jain, who led Marcone’s initial growth. The company said Satrazemis will expand Marcone’s market share and strengthen its reputation.
“His inclusive leadership style, industry expertise, growth orientation and dedication to operational excellence align perfectly with our long-term vision for Marcone,” Genstar Capital, majority investor in Marcone, Managing Partner Rob Rutledge said in an Oct. 31 news release. “We’re confident that under his leadership, Marcone will continue to grow and deliver best-in-class service to our customers.”
Marcon said Satrazemis has significant executive and global leadership experience, having managed diverse, distributed service-based businesses, most recently serving as CEO of BlueLine Rental and United Site Services.
New Distribution Center
In other news, Marcone recently announced the addition of a 200,000-square-foot distribution center in Dallas, TX.
The facility stocks repair parts for the plumbing, appliance and commercial kitchen sectors. The company said the new distribution center enables Marcone to provide next-day delivery to 93% of the U.S. population via ground service.
“Marcone’s strategic footprint sets us apart from other distributors, and that’s even more evident with the opening of these additional facilities,” Marcone CEO Avial Jain said in a Sept. 18 news release. “With 3 million SKUs, a range of delivery options and nearly 200 locations throughout North America, we are able to bring customers the parts they need – when and where they need them.”
This center is one of three regional distribution facilities Marcone is opening in 2024, with the others located in Calgary, Alberta and Kansas City, MO.
