Farmers Branch, Texas-based industrial/construction distribution cooperative Evergreen Supply Network announced that CEO Bill Ward and the company’s Board of Directors have reached a mutual agreement to accept Ward’s resignation.
“This decision comes after a thorough assessment of the company’s strategic direction and leadership needs,” Evergreen said in a news release.
During this transition period, Wade McCone, Director of Training and Education, will assume an interim General Manager role. Former Evergreen CEO Kevin Higginbotham will also assume a Board Advisory role, the company said.
MDM’S SHIFT Conference, held Sept. 18-20 in Denver, brings together distribution leaders to learn and network across topics of sales & marketing, digital transformation, data analytics and talent management. Find more info here.
Ward joined Evergreen in September 2020 and had been CEO since September 2021. The company was formerly known as Evergreen Marketing Group but rebranded in March of this year.
“Ward, who has been at the helm of Evergreen since 2021, has played a pivotal role in guiding the company through a period of significant growth and transformation,” the company said. “Under Ward’s leadership, the company expanded its market presence, achieved notable financial milestones, and implemented innovative initiatives.”
Ward will officially step down as CEO effective as of August 8th.
