Packaging solutions distributor TricorBraun agreed to acquire German-based Euroglas and Austria-based Glaspack.
Terms were not disclosed, but the transaction is expected to finalize in the first quarter of 2025.
Established in 1992, both Euroglas and Glaspack are distributors of rigid packaging solutions in the European markets. Euroglas specializes in providing glass packaging for the food, beverage and spirits industries. Similarly, Glaspack offers stock and packaging for the wine, beer and food sectors and is a supplier of wine packaging in Austria.
TricorBraun said that the acquisitions broaden the company’s packaging presence in the DACH region — Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
“Euroglas and Glaspack are known for their quality, innovation and customer service, and they’ve built longstanding businesses with impressive reputations,” TricorBraun COO Mark O’Bryan said in a Jan. 8 news release. “Combining Euroglas’ and Glaspack’s expertise in key end markets with TricorBraun’s own supply chain and regional penetration will provide new opportunities to support our customers’ growth in Europe.”
All team members from Euroglas and Glaspack will reamin with TricorBraun and continue working from the companies’ current locations. TricorBraun said that effective upon the completion of the transaction, both companies will maintain their existing branding.
TricorBraun’s most recent previous acquisition was of Atlanta, GA-based Veritiv Containers, completed on Dec. 9.
The company was No. 6 on MDM’s Top Distributors List for JanSan, Packaging & Disposables.
