Chicago-based Ryerson Holding Corporation announced Sept. 1 its acquisition of Howard Precision Metals, Inc.
Based in Milwaukee, Howard Precision Metals has been a distributor of aluminum since 1928. Howard implements precision sawing to create extruded aluminum shapes, bars and rolled aluminum plate.
“Building on our legacy of over 90 years in the industry, Howard is excited for this opportunity to grow our brand and business with a company that shares our values and commitment to customers,” Howard president Mark Howard said in a news release.
“Howard has cultivated a strong brand and a reputation for creating excellent customer experiences,” Ryerson CEO Mike Burbach said. “Its processing capabilities complement Ryerson’s existing non-ferrous franchise, and we are excited to recognize these synergies as we welcome them to the Ryerson Family of Companies.”
Founded in 1842, Ryerson is a processor and distributor of industrial metals. It employs around 4,000 at approximately 100 locations across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and China.
