Resideo Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: REZI) — a global provider of security solutions and commercial and residential security and audio-visual products — has acquired privately held Arrow Wire & Cable, based in Chino, California.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal is the second datacom and security acquisition for Resideo’s ADI Global Distribution in the past eight months, with Norfolk Wire and Cable being the first a few months prior.
The Arrow deal is expected to expand the company’s position in the data-comm markets that companies such as WESCO and Graybar have continued to grow.
“ADI is a critical component to Resideo’s long-term growth,” said Jay Geldmacher, president and CEO of Resideo. “As such, we are strategically investing in the business organically while simultaneously pursuing tuck-in acquisitions. This two-pronged approach helps broaden our market reach and accelerate our growth. The acquisition of Arrow aligns with ADI’s strategic growth plan of expansion into adjacent categories, marking the fourth acquisition for our distribution business since 2020 and second in Data Communications.”
The Arrow deal is expected to strengthens ADI’s portfolio with an assortment of copper and fiber cabling and connectivity, connectors, racking solutions and network equipment.
“Additionally, the acquisition increases ADI’s geographic footprint with added warehouse and distribution operations to better enable ADI to meet the needs of customers,” the company said.
