Specialty building materials distributor PrimeSource Building Products Inc., Irving, Texas, a platform company of Clearlake Capital Group LP, this week announced it has agreed to acquire NWI Enterprises. Nationwide, as it’s known, is a Tampa, Florida-based provider of branded specialty hardware for outdoor residential applications including fence and gate hardware, railing systems and perimeter security.
PrimeSource acquired NWI from affiliates of Harbour Group. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. PrimeSource, which Clearlake joined with Diamora Brands following the November 2020 acquisition, said this addition will expand the company’s reach into the specialty fence and gate dealer channel.
“We are thrilled to add Nationwide to the PrimeSource portfolio,” said Tom Koos, CEO, PrimeSource. “The Nationwide team has built a stable of brands and products that fits well with our existing platform and our national scale will enable us to grow this business at an accelerated pace. Along with Dimora Brands, Nationwide continues our efforts to build the branded specialty building products platform with the largest sales and service platform in the industry. Our depth of catalogue combined with our customer reach gives us a unique advantage.”
BlackArch Partners acted as financial adviser to Nationwide and its shareholders. PrimeSource was advised by Baird. Financing was provided by Deutsche Bank Securities Inc.
