New South Construction Acquires Florida-Based Malone Steel

The deal will provide a 'one-stop shop' for concrete and masonry construction in the North and Central Florida markets, New South said.

Greenville, South Carolina-based New South Construction Supply announced Nov. 14 that it has acquired Malone Steel Corporation, a company based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Financial details were not disclosed. Malone Steel marks New South’s second Florida location and 11th companywide.

Malone Steel will operate as New South Construction Supply-Ponte Vedra. New South said Malone Steel President Jeff Malone will remain with company and will “focus on providing best in class sales and service to Malone’s customer base as well as to New South customers.” Malone will also continue to oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, New South said.
