On Nov. 1, Pennsylvania-based industrial and fluid power distributor Motion & Control Enterprises (MCE) announced it acquired Buford, Georgia-based Applied Industrial Controls and Engineered Systems Group.
Applied Industrial Controls is a distributor of motors, drives, and controls for industrial and municipal customers in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida.
Engineered Systems Group is a systems integrator and panel shop providing engineering, programming, and systems integration services.
“These businesses will provide entry into new, growing industrial and water/wastewater markets in the southeastern U.S., expand our offering of automation solutions while adding to our integration capabilities,” said MCE Chairman and CEO Charles Hale in a news release.
The news marks the sixth and seventh acquisition of the year, and follows two of the company’s most recent acquisitions of Ultimation Industries and Nova Hydraulics in the Midwest.
In early August, MCE’s private equity firm Frontenac announced reinvestment in the company to fund future expansion.
On MDM’s 2023 Top Distributors Lists, MCE ranks No. 50 among industrial distributors and No. 9 for fluid power.
