Zelienople, PA-based industrial and fluid power distributor Motion & Control Enterprises (MCE) acquired electric motor distributor Romanoff Industries to expand its offering.
This deal follows the acquisition of industrial distributor Ives Equipment Corp. in May, and marks MCE’s fifth acquisition of fiscal year 2024, and its 13th since 2023.
Founded in 1979, Romanoff distributes new, used and refurbished electric motors which are sold to end-users and resellers across the U.S. The Toledo, OH-based company has an additional location in Henderson, NV, to service the western United States.
The company will continue to operate under the Romanoff Industries name under the continued leadership of Jay Romanoff.
Romanoff said joining forces with MCE “will present tremendous opportunities for Romanoff Industries,” which will benefit from MCE’s resources and expanding its presence in the electric motor market.
MCE ranks twice on MDM’s 2024 Top Distributors List, No. 9 on fluid power and No. 42 on industrial supplies.
