Industrial safety supplies distributor Mallory Safety and Supply has expanded its presence in the Mountain States through the acquisition of safety and industrial products distributor Rocky Mountain Industrial Supply (RMI). Terms were not disclosed for the transaction, which closed on Jan. 15.
RMI serves major energy and mining sectors, transportation, construction and manufacturing in the Wyoming and North Dakota markets. It has three Wyoming locations in Cheyenne, Casper, and Rock Springs, and a sales office in North Dakota.
The acquisition will add an instrumentation and fall protection service center, a service center to make water and hydraulic hoses, and an embroidery and imprinting facility. It will also give customers access to a wider range of products and services and support, company officials said in news release.
Rocky Mountain Industrial will operate within the Affiliated Distributor buying group.
Mallory Acquires Safety Equipment Distributor Safety Station
This is Mallory’s second acquisition in the region in recent months. In late November 2023, Mallory acquired Safety Station, a Colorado Springs, CO-based safety equipment distributor, and its sister company, Ink 182, an imprinting and customization specialist.
Mallory — listed among MDM’s Top Safety Products Distributors in 2023 — distributes safety/PPE, industrial, fire, law enforcement, cleanroom, haz mat response, and janitorial equipment. Mallory is also a full-service distributor that offers vending, vendor managed inventory, rental, maintenance and repair, safety training, staffing, product customization, electric glove testing and exclusive brands.
The company has 38 locations and over 110 sales associates across the country.
