Imperial Dade announced Sept. 2 its acquisition of Puerto Rico-based International Sales & Marketing (ISM). Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2005 in Cataño, Puerto Rico, ISM is a distributor of foodservice and janitorial sanitation products. ISM operates in the markets of Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America.
“I am excited about the future of ISM under the leadership of Imperial Dade,” ISM owner and CEO Eduardo López said. “Our customers will receive the same outstanding service they have come to expect from us and a significantly expanded product offering.”

New Jersey-based Imperial Dade has been a Jan-San distributor of foodservice packaging, facilities maintenance supplies and equipment since 1935. Imperial Dade was named a Top Jan-San Distributor on Modern Distribution Management’s 2022 Top Distributor list.
