On April 7, Santa Ana, California-based Foundation Building Materials (FBM) announced its acquisition of Marjam Supply Company, a building supplies distributor based based in Brooklyn, New York. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
FBM ranked No. 9 on MDM’s Top Building Materials/Construction Distributors list in 2022.
Founded in 1979, Marjam Supply distributes a wide range of products, including building materials, doors, windows, flooring, roofing, as well as HVAC and plumbing products. Marjam Supply operates 32 locations across Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
FBM took ownership of Marjam Supply and all of its locations on April 1, according to a news release, adding to FBM’s over 200 locations in 36 states. Marjam Supply will eventually rebrand to reflect FBM ownership, the release said.
“This is an exciting time for all parties involved,” FBM Senior Director of Marketing Bryan Vigue said in the release. “Collectively FBM is working closely with the Marjam Team and others to make the transition as seamless as possible.”
