A busy year just got busier for Envoy Solutions.
The jan-san, foodservice and packaging supplies distributor announced Oct. 5 that it has reached an agreement to acquire seven Michigan-based companies from the Enterprises Group: KSS Enterprises, Sideline Sports, BBC Distributing, Energyst Solutions, Rapid Supply & Sales, EMack Manufacturing and Star Flooring.
Financial terms of the transaction — which is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year, according to a news release — were not disclosed. Envoy, formerly known as Waxie Sanitary Supply, was named a Top Jan-San Distributor in Modern Distribution Management’s 2022 Top Distributors list.
The Enterprises Group of companies specializes in facility supplies, foodservice and commercial flooring. KSS Enterprises, the largest of the companies, has 11 locations across Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.
“These are outstanding companies that will help us to solve the industry’s toughest challenges as we expand into Michigan and increase our presence in Ohio and Indiana,” Envoy CEO Mark Fisher said. “It’s great to see distributors in the U.S. continue to join our differentiated business model, which we strongly believe is the way of the future.”
“Envoy Solutions brings tremendous value to the distribution market in a new way, and we’re thrilled to be a part of that,” Enterprises Group president Ed Stasiak said. “Together, our like-minded companies will accomplish great things.”
The transaction will bring Envoy’s total number of acquisitions in 2022 to 18. In September, Envoy brought aboard H.T. Berry Company, Knight Marketing Corp. and Janitor’s Closet.
