East Dubuque, Illinois-based Crescent Electric Supply Company on Nov. 1 said it has closed on a deal to acquire Georgia-based Lowe Electric Supply Co.
Financial terms of the agreement were not announced.
“Lowe is well known and highly regarded throughout Georgia and South Carolina, and we welcome them to Team Crescent,” said Scott Teerlinck, President and CEO of Crescent. “Their strong track record of exceptional customer service provides a solid base to accelerate future growth for both Crescent and Lowe by expanding our market presence and service offerings for new and existing customers.”
Crescent said the deal allows both companies to “provide customers with an increased breadth of services across their served industrial and construction business segments.” The combined entity also will allow customers to benefit from additional products, services and solutions through an enhanced geographic footprint, the company said.
Lowe is expected to continue operating under its current, founder-led management team and will be supported by the Crescent platform.
Crescent is ranked 11th on MDM’s list of Top Electrical Distributors. (Click here to listen to a recent MDM podcast with Scott Teerlinck, who spoke about employee engagement.)
