Builders FirstSource, Inc. announced Sept. 1 its acquisition of Trussway, a manufacturer of floor trusses, roof trusses and pre-assembled door and window openings.
“The addition of Trussway expands our footprint with our roof and floor truss offerings, including for multifamily customers and enhances our value-added portfolio to better serve our customers and accelerate growth,” BFS President and CEO Dave Flitman said.
Houston-based Trussway was founded in 1972 and employs over 1,000 people. Trussway’s six manufacturing facilities in Houston; Fort Worth, Texas; Fredericksburg, Virginia; Fountain, Colorado; Orlando, Florida; and Acworth, Georgia, will join BFS as part of the acquisition, according to a news release.
“Trussway is honored to be a part of the BFS family,” Trussway President and CEO Jeff Smith said. “We look forward to bringing, and building on, our high intensity approach to safety, quality, service, production and customer satisfaction with the BFS Team.”
Builders FirstSource — a Fortune 500 company ranked as the No. 1 Building Materials/Construction Distributor in Modern Distribution Management’s 2022 Top Distributor list — is headquartered in Dallas. Incorporated in 1998, BFS now employs over 15,000 workers across about 550 locations in 40 states.
