On Sept. 5, construction and building materials distributor Beacon announced that it has completed the acquisition of Medford, New York-based S&H Building Material Corporation.
Financial details were not disclosed. The deal is Beacon’s seventh acquisition so far in 2023.

Beacon has expanded its branch footprint this year through the completion of seven acquisitions and the opening of 14 new greenfield locations. In August, Beacon announced it had completed the acquisition of Tupelo, Missouri-based All American Vinyl Siding Supply. One month earlier, Beacon said it had completed its acquisition of Oklahoma City-based Crossroads Roofing Supply, Inc.
“We are pleased to welcome S&H’s employees and customers to the Beacon team,” said David Doran, Beacon’s Regional Vice President-North Atlantic, about the most recent acquisition. “Expanding our depth of service in the Long Island market will bring S&H customers the opportunity to benefit from our digital solutions, TRI-BUILT product line and the Beacon OTC network.”
On MDM’s 2023 Top Distributors Lists, the company ranks No. 6 for building materials/construction, with $8.4 billion in 2022 revenue.
