On July 11, building products distributor Beacon announced that it has completed its acquisition of Oklahoma City-based Crossroads Roofing Supply, Inc. Financial terms were not announced.
Crossroads has five branches — located in Enid, Norman, Oklahoma City, Stillwater, and Tulsa — which have served residential and commercial contractors for over 20 years, Beacon said in a news release.
So far in 2023, Beacon has expanded its branch footprint via five acquisitions and the opening of 14 new greenfield locations.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Crossroads employees to Beacon. Their skills and knowledge will enhance our Midwest team as we help customers build more,” said Jason Taylor, Beacon’s President, West Division.
Last week, Beacon announced that it had reached an agreement with Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, LLC (CD&R) to repurchase all of the outstanding shares of its Series Series A Preferred Stock held by CD&R’s affiliate for more than $800 million.
Beacon ranks No. 6 among Building Materials/Construction distributors on MDM’s 2023 Top Distributors Lists.
“We are pleased to announce that Crossroads is joining Beacon,” said Lisa and Mike Curtis, owners of Crossroads. “Beacon’s relentless focus on its customers gives us confidence that the contractors who have come to rely on us to build their businesses will gain further benefits from Beacon’s digital tools and national footprint.”
