“This transaction will enhance our leading fluid power distribution position in the U.S. by leveraging complementary technical capabilities and innovative engineered solutions across legacy and emerging end markets,” Applied President and CEO Neil Schrimsher said in a Jan. 2 news release. “Combined with various secular tailwinds and expanding customer service requirements developing across the industry, we see notable growth and operational momentum building from this transaction moving forward.”

For its fiscal 2024 that ended June 30, 2024, Applied had full-year sales of $4.5 billion that grew 1.5% annually, with organic sales up 0.4%. Full-year net profit of $386 million jumped 11.4%, while EBITDA of $553 million grew 5.5%.
