Another month, another acquisition for AFC Industries. On June 8, the Fairfield, Ohio-based industrial distributor announced its sixth acquisition of 2023 in the form of White Distribution and Supply (WDS). Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1984, WDS is a provider of industrial distribution and supply chain management services. WDS is based Muscatine, Iowa, with additional locations across Illinois, Minnesota, New York, Georgia, and North Carolina. Last month, WDS announced a partnership with Stellar Industrial Supply in which the operations of WDS’s distribution centers in Spokane, Washington, and Salt Lake City were integrated into Stellar’s platform.
“Over the past several years our team has continued to make investments that ensure we are positioned to supply excellent service to our customers and opportunities for our employees and supplier partners,” WDS CEO John MacQuarrie said in a news release. “We see this as a continuation of that strategy. AFC has the same commitment to excellence that has made us successful in the past, and together the businesses complement each other in ways that better align us to provide innovative solutions for our customers and growth opportunities for our stakeholders well into the future.”
“We are always excited when we can partner with businesses that have the same core commitments we have, are managed by a team of industry professionals, and that add or strengthen our capabilities,” AFC CEO Kevin Godin said in the release. “WDS checks all those boxes, and together these businesses will be stronger and better positioned to grow and be successful.”
WDS is the 11th acquisition for AFC since the industrial distributor was privately acquired by Bertram Capital in April 2021. AFC announced two acquisitions — New Jersey-based fasteners distributor Fastbolt and U.K.-based rubber sealing products distributor EAP International Limited — in May after adding QFC Industries, a fasteners distributor in Arlington, Texas, in late April.
AFC Industries ranked as the No. 9 Fastener Distributor and No. 34 Industrial Distributor on MDM’s 2023 Top Distributors List.
