Milwaukee Tool has added to its Mississippi manufacturing operations by opening a large new factory in Grenada County, MS.
The 500,000-square-foot plant will eventually employ more than 800 people, becoming the company’s eighth location in Mississippi and its largest manufacturing facility in the U.S.
“Our rapid growth continues to accelerate, and this new facility in Grenada plays a crucial role in maintaining our trajectory of excellence in serving our distributor and user partners,” Milwaukee Tool Group President of Accessories Business Unit Scott Griswold said in a Oct. 2 news release. “This success is the direct result of recruiting some of the best talent around the nation, especially in the state of Mississippi.”
The company invested over $60 million in the new facility, which features cutting-edge technology and manufacturing capabilities. The Grenqda location will produce Milwaukee Tool’s line of accessories, including SAWZALL blades, and plans to expand into additional product lines over time.
Milwaukee Tool employs more than 10,000 people in the U.S. and has significantly expanded its presence in Mississippi, investing over $250 million in the past five years and creating 4,000 jobs.
