Motion control and power solutions manufacturer Allient launched its Allient Defense Solutions (ADS) Business Unit (BU).
Allient said the initiative highlights its commitment to expanding in high-growth markets and creating long-term value. With a restructured sales and support team, ADS will integrate Allient’s technology to streamline processes and drive innovation.
“The launch of Allient Defense Solutions is a pivotal milestone in our vertical market strategy, highlighting our dedication to delivering compact, lightweight, high-performance system solutions to the defense industry,” Allient Chairman and CEO Dick Warzala said in a Dec. 11 news release. “By strategically aligning our talent, technology and resources, we are positioned to create transformative value across land, air and sea defense applications.”
To support this initiative, the company restructured its internal functions:
- Steve Warzala was appointed President of Allient Defense Solutions BU and will continue in the role of Corporate VP.
- Ken May, Allied Motion CTO and Corporate VP, will lead the ADS systems and engineering and program support services.
- Dave MacMillan, Senior Director of Business Development, will lead the ADS business development efforts and ADS sales team.
- Brandon Hunter was appointed GM for Allient in London, Ontario.
- Jesse Down was appointed GM for Allient in Rochester.
Allient said the restructuring includes its Global Engineering Team (GET), led by Ken May, to accelerate decision-making, product development and better align with customers and markets.
