Southwire Co., Carrollton, GA, has named Rich Stinson as president effective Oct. 15. Stinson, who currently is group president of electrical systems and services for Eaton Corp., will replace President and CEO Stu Thorn.

Stinson will initially serve as president and then assume the role of CEO following a transition period.
