Netherlands-based The Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group has acquired Ferrostaal Piping supply, a Dutch-German pipe and tube company that supplies chemical, petrochemical and machine building segments.
Ferrostaal’s Dutch branch will be run by existing Van Leeuwen companies; its German operations will be run as independent divisions of the Van Leeuwen network, retaining its name, employees and customer base.
The deal gives Van Leeuwen greater access to chemical and petrochemical customers in Germany and will allow the company to expand its business in the machine building sector. Ferrostaal has 40 employees and annual sales of more than €50 million (approximately US$61.6 million).
