The Timken Co. (NYSE: TKR), North Canton, OH, has acquired Torsion Control Products Inc., a manufacturer of engineered torsional couplings used in the construction, agriculture and mining industries. Terms were not disclosed.
Based in Rochester Hills, MI, Torsion Control Products serves an established customer base primarily in North America. This acquisition is part of the Timken's strategy to grow its portfolio of bearings and mechanical power transmission products.
