Power transmission distributor Shingle & Gibb Automation, Moorestown, N.J., has acquired KOM Automation, Amherst, N.Y. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1950, KOM Automation is an industrial distributor of high tech factory automation components and solutions serving customers in Upstate New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania. The deal expands Shingle & Gibb’s geographic reach and provides KOM’s customers with a broader product offering, additional engineering expertise and investment in more local inventory, the company said.
