Manufacturer Regal Beloit Corp. (NYSE: RBC), Beloit, Wisconsin, reported first quarter sales of $853.8 million, a 2.8% increase compared to the first quarter of 2018. Profit was $86.8 million, up 46.4% compared to the same period the previous year.
By segment, the company reported $380.3 million in commercial & industrial systems segment sales, an 8.2% decrease from the prior year; $263.3 million in climate solutions segment sales, a 1.3% increase; $210.2 in power transmission solutions segment sales, an increase of 2.6%.
