Pentair plc (NYSE: PNR), London, UK, said it will acquire two water treatment companies, Chicago-based Aquion and Florida-based Pelican Water Systems.
Pentair said it will acquire Aquion for $160 million in cash. Aquion sells a diverse line of water conditioners, water filters, drinking-water purifiers, ozone and ultraviolet disinfection systems, reverse osmosis systems and acid neutralizers for the residential and commercial water treatment industry. The deal complements Pentair’s residential water offerings, the company said.
Separately, Pentair said it will acquire Pelican Water Systems for $120 million in cash. Pelican provides residential whole home water treatment systems. The addition will broaden Pentair’s product offering and create growth opportunities, the company said.
