Ohio Transmission Corp. Acquires Crimson Electric

Deal expands OTCs business in the Carolinas, adds electric motor repair to product and service offering.

Ohio Transmission Corp., Columbus, OH, has acquired Crimson Electric, Duncan, S.C.

Founded in 1954, Crimson Electric is an electrical apparatus service center serving customers in the Carolinas. The deal expands OTC’s geographic footprint and product mix, adding electric motor repair to its portfolio.

Crimson Electric will continue to operate under the same name and with current local management, OTC said. It will become a division of OTP Industrial Solutions, one of two divisions under the OTC umbrella. OTP Industrial Solutions specializes in motion control, factory automation, fluid power, pumping systems, spray finishing and power transmission. OTC’s other division, Air Technologies, specializes in compressed air system equipment and services.
