Fersa Bearings, Zaragoza, Spain, has acquired a 49 percent stake in Austrian bearings manufacturer NKE Austria GmbH as part of the companies' "European cooperation." Terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1968, Fersa Bearings is a Spanish multinational company that designs, manufactures and distributes bearings for the automotive industry worldwide. Founded in 1996, NKE Austria GmbH is a bearing manufacturer with headquarters in Steyr, Austria.
Through this partnership, the companies will now have three production facilities, five distribution centers and three R&D centers. Both brands operate independently with the goal of enhancing customer offerings.
