Japan-based motor manufacturer Nidec Corp. (NYSE:NJ) has acquired KB Electronics Inc., Coral Springs, FL, through the company's subsidiary, Nidec Americas Holding Corp. Terms were not disclosed. KB Electronics had sales of $23 million for fiscal year ended Sept. 30.
Nidec also has acquired EMG Elettromeccanica Srl, Gambugliano, Italy, through the company's subsidiary, Nidec FIR Elettromeccanica Srl. Terms were not disclosed. EMG had sales of €10.4 million (US$11.7 million) for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31.
