Apax Partners has suspended its search for a buyer for ERP software provider Epicor Software Corp., according to a report in The Wall Street Journal. Apax reportedly began seeking buyers in May.
WSJ reports that people familiar with the matter said prices from interested buyers, including CVC Capital Partners, were “not enough to entice Apax to sell.” One person familiar with that matter said bids were around $3 billion including debt.
Apax Partners purchased Epicor and merged it with rival software provider Activant in 2011.
