Dot Foods, Sterling, IL, a U.S. food industry redistributor, has entered into a joint venture with Mexico-based distributor RJ Alimentos. The joint redistribution company will operate as RD Amerimex.

“We’ve spent a lot of time trying to understand the distribution channels and cultural differences of our counterparts in Mexico,” Dot Foods CEO John Tracy said.  “We know that for an expansion into Mexico to be successful, we need a local resource.”

RD Amerimex will offer approximately 105,000 products to the new market in summer 2014, bringing the potential for business growth to Dot Foods’ 650 supplier partners.
