Descartes Acquires Two UK Companies

Acuisition of e-customs and Pentant expands Descartes' customs offering.

Logistics provider Descartes Systems Group (TSX: DSG)(Nasdaq: DSGX), Waterloo, ON, has acquired e-customs Inc. and Pentant Limited, both based out of the UK.

e-customs Inc. is a provider of electronic security and fiscal customs filing solutions. Descartes acquired e-customs for GBP 5.8 million (US$9 million).

Pentant Limited provides customs connectivity and import/export inventory control solutions for ocean, truck and air cargo. Descartes acquired Pentant for GBP 1.8 million (US$2.8 million).
