Audax Private Equity, Boston, MA, has acquired a controlling interest Colony Hardware Corporation, Orange, CT, a distributor of tools, safety products and other contractor supplies. Terms were not disclosed.
Tailwind Capital, the Colony’s previous sponsor, will retain a minority stake in the company. BB&T Capital Markets acted as exclusive financial advisor to Colony Hardware and Tailwind Capital.
