Swedish manufacturer Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire 34 percent of Mobilaris MCE, Lulea, Sweden, a subsidiary of Mobilaris AB. Terms were not disclosed.
Mobilaris MCE develops software that offers situational awareness of the mines, real-time positioning and detailed status information on vehicles, equipment and personnel, presented in a 3D user interface. The software is used for underground mining, tunneling and other civil engineering. The company has 20 employees and had revenues in 2016 of SEK 30 million (US$3.4 million).
