American Tire Distributors Agrees to Buy The Hercules Tire & Rubber Company

American Tire Distributors, Inc., Charlotte, NC, has agreed to acquire The Hercules Tire & Rubber Company, Findlay, OH.

Hercules Tire is currently a portfolio company of FdG Associates, a private equity firm based in New York, NY.

Hercules Tire is a marketer of replacement tires in the U.S. and Canada. The company operates 15 distribution centers in the United States and 6 distribution centers in Canada. In addition, Hercules Tire has a 250,000 square foot warehouse in northern China.

Hercules Tire retained BlackArch Partners to serve as financial adviser on the transaction.
