Amazon Business this week said that in 2020 it “reached $25 billion in worldwide annualized sales, more than half of which are from third-party sellers.” Its parent company, Amazon.com, doesn’t break out the division’s sales in its quarterly earnings reports.

The Seattle-based company, which launched in 2015 after rebranding from AmazonSupply, also said it has expanded to eight additional countries and that it is being used by “more than 5 million businesses, ranging from sole proprietors to multinational enterprises with tens of thousands of employees on a single account.

“In the U.S., our two fastest growing customer segments are public entities and enterprises—we serve 45 states, 90 of the 100 largest cities and counties, and many other public entities,” the company said in a press release. “In addition, more than 80 of the Fortune 100 companies currently use Amazon Business, including Citigroup, Intel, Cisco, and ExxonMobil.”

“Looking ahead, we continue listening to feedback from customers and selling partners. We are obsessed with innovating on their behalf to deliver what they need to be successful in meeting the demands of the future workplace. We are excited about what we have accomplished over the last six years, and look forward to what lies ahead.”
