Amazon.com Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZ) reported sales of $113.1 billion in the second quarter, up 27.2% compared to the same quarter in 2020. Net income was $7.8 billion in the second quarter, a 48.4% increase from the year-ago period.
Net product sales accounted for $58 billion, up 15.4% year over year. Net service sales hit $55.1 billion, up 42.4% from the prior year.
North American net sales were $67.6 billion, up 21.9% from the second quarter of 2020. International net sales totaled $30.7 billion, up 35.5%. And Amazon Web Services revenue hit $14.8 billion during the quarter, up 37% from a year earlier.
The company, per usual, didn’t mention its Amazon Business division in the earnings report.
